WARSAW- GDANSK- POZNAN-BERLIN Day 1 Transfer from the airport to Warsaw Sightseeing: The Old Town – admiring picturesque tenement houses and imposing old churches, it is hard to believe that at the end of the World War II, not a single stone was left standing in this area. The incredible achievement of the reconstruction of the Old Town was recognized with the granting by UNESCO of World Cultural and Natural Heritage status to this area. The Column of The King Sigismundus, The Royal Castle: present shape refers to VII and VIII century. The Old Town Market: elegant restaurants, cafes, galleries and museums surround Market, recently the centre of square decorates a Mermaid- symbol of Warsaw The Old Town Walls – Barbican: in the past it function as a defensive walls, nowadays it attract many sculptors and musicans The Łazienki Garden – one of the Europe’s finest complexes laid out in the 17th century by St. Lubomirski. Its current shape is the result of the efforts of King Stanisław August Poniatowski owner of the Łazienki. Palace of Culture and Science: the symbol of Warsaw and the tallest building in Warsaw (234,5 m high) "donated" to Warsaw by the Soviet nation. Today it houses offices, theatres, cinema, museum, headquarters of many companies and huge congress centre with a concert hall. The major tourist attraction is the viewing terrace with its grand panorama of the city on the 30th floor. In 2000 a clock, the second largest in Europe was unveiled on the building. Krakowskie Przedmieście Street- is one of the most beautiful historical streets in Warsaw. Going throught left side, just behind the Mickiewicz Monument you can see Namiestnikowski Palace which was built in the XVII century Teatralny Square: Partly destroyed during the November Uprising in 1830 and burnt in 1939 and in 1944. Rebuilt and extended till 1965 to Pniewski\'s design. One of the Europe\'s largest and the most modern theatres with the opera house, the ballet and the Theatre Museum. The wing houses the National Theatre. The statuary includes the Monuments to Moniuszko and to Wojciech Bogusławski by J.Szczepkowski. Day 5 Breakfast Transfer to Berlin Sightseeing: Brandenburska Gate: symbol of Berlin Reichstad: is the seat of the German Bundestag or federal government and, with its new dome, one of the Berlin's biggest crowd-draws. Its colorful past reflects the turbulence of German history since the 19th century. Victory Column Charlotenburg: the largest and most beautiful palace in Berlin, is a shining example of baroque architecture. It was built from 1695–99 as a summer residence for Sophie Charlotte, the consort of Elector Friedrich III. Alexanderplatz: the most famous square in Berlin. Originally, this square lay just beyond the gates to the city. Around 1700 it was the site of a livestock market, earning it the name Ochsenplatz or "Oxen Square".
